The legend tells that Ali, a Moorish slave, found the image of the Virgin buried while working in the vineyards of his master, Mr. Milà. When he showed him, the decision was immediate: to build a sanctuary in honor of the Virgin of the Vinyet. 

Since then, its popularity has been growing until it has become an emotional heritage shared by Sitgetans.

Throughout the day you will find a program full of religious, recreational and cultural events such as a craft fair around the Sanctuary or the sale of cakes and soft drinks.
