Dance: Dansa Sitges

For International Dance Day.

Sitges is celebrating International Dance Day (29 April) by hosting a week jam-packed with dance activities. The events will bring together local and international talent, with shows featuring everything from classical dance to contemporary creations. The Passeig de Sant Sebastià will be the setting for the traditional open barre, which beckons professionals and amateurs alike to share in this art. There will also be performances by the city’s dance schools, reinterpretations of traditional dances and master classes for all levels. A can’t-miss event for lovers of movement!

On the occasion of International Dance Day, you’ll find some little tastes of dance in different styles around the different spaces at the Biblioteca Santiago Rusiñol

25 April at 5 pm

Dancing among books I. Contemporary dance from Collective Dansa Studio.

28 April from 3.30 pm to 6.15 pm – Outside yard at the library.

Dancing among books II. A taste of ‘castanyoles’. By El Prado de Sitges BALLA!, directed by Maite Ferré.

29 April from 3.30 pm to 6.15 m – Outside yard at the library, first floor and terraces

Bollywood display, from 5 pm to 5.30 pm.

Children’s ballet group display, from 5.30 pm to 6 pm.
