Sitges stärkt seine internationale Positionierung auf der Messe ILTM
Sitges is represented in Cannes this week at the ILTM, Europe’s main trade fair for luxury travel and one of the world’s leading professional platforms for marketing destinations that offer authentic, unique experiences.
The Councillor’s Office for Tourism at Sitges City Council has lined up 34 professional meetings to promote Sitges to some of the leading specialised travel agencies and tour operators that design customised itineraries and trips.
Sitges’s presence at the trade fair reflects its commitment to establishing itself as a high-quality Mediterranean destination offering authenticity, sustainability and lifestyle, particularly in areas such as cuisine, culture and connections with the local community.
“ILTM is a strategic opportunity for cementing Sitges’s position in the international market and forging partnerships with agencies that specialise in personalised, authentic experiences with high added value,” says the city councillor for tourism, Xavi Ripoll.
In meetings with travel agents operating in priority markets such as the United Kingdom, the United States, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Australia, Sitges representatives are presenting the destination’s tourism assets, including its hotels, cultural heritage and local cuisine. The Councillor’s Office seeks to highlight activities connecting visitors with the essence of Sitges and its Mediterranean lifestyle, increase the destination’s international visibility and continue to promote a shift away from seasonal tourism.
