The Club de Tast (Tasting Club) and the Gremi d’Hosteleria de Sitges (Catering Association) hold the 25th Menjar de Tast Gourmet Food Festival
The anniversary events kick off with the opening of an exhibition on its 25 year existence
On Thursday 30 September, the Sitges Menjar de Tast Gourmet Food Festival will be holding the 25th Menjar de Tast at Hort de Can Falç Park. This will be the main activity among a series of events programed throughout the year and dedicated to commemorating this anniversary.
This year, the Menjar de Tast is made up of 19 Sitgetan restaurants that, for just one day, will be jointly presenting their best recipes; with guest chefs representing Pyrenean Cuisine. And in following with tradition, its selection will be topped off with the attendance of 16 wineries, 1 baker and 5 pastry shops. However, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, this year each pastry shop will present a unique dessert proposal with assorted anniversary pastries.
The opening event for the 25th Menjar de Tast will take place at 20:30 on Thursday 30 September at Hort de Can Falç Park, although it will be opening its doors to the general public at 21:00. Tickets are 35€ and include 5 food tastings, 1 desert and 4 wine tastings. The Sitjazz Band will provide the evening’s entertainment.
25th Menjar de Tast Anniversary Exhibition
The first activity on the events program to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Menjar de Tast is an exhibition on its 25 years of existence and that was opened last Friday at the Miramar Building.
Admission to the exhibition is free and it will be open to the public Monday to Friday from 10:00 – 14:00 and Saturday and Sunday from 17:00 – 20.00 until 3 October.
