Sitges gears up for summer gastronomy with a new edition of ‘Sopar de Tast’
‘Sopar de Tast’ is back with a new edition on Thursday, 15 May, offering a range of culinary options full of flavour and local recipes. The Cañateca restaurant, in the Jardins del Casino Prado, will be hosting the supper from 7,30 pm. Organised by the Sitges Hospitality Guild, the annual event is a prelude to the summer season and offers a festive evening full or flavour.
Ten establishments will be offering their recipes to those attending, combining traditional cuisine with contemporary trends. The participating establishments are: Cal Pinxo, Cañateca, Cau del Vinyet, Corazón de Agave, Eurostars Restaurant La Punta, La Nansa, La Sitja (Escola d’Hostaleria de Sitges), Mare Nostrum, Pic Nic and Sofía by Pic Nic.
This year’s edition coincides with Catalonia being named as World Region of Gastronomy 2025, with Sitges joining in under the slogan Som Gastronomia. This edition also has a guest of honour: the Societat Gastronòmica de Sitges from the Societat Recreativa El Retiro, this year marking their 20th anniversary, in a clear move to recognise the culinary roots and heritage of the municipality.
Tickets are priced €25,50 and include four tastings and two drinks, with Perelada & Chivite wines and bar offering a varied range of options. Tickets can be purchased here.
